Day 1 - Sydney - Longreach
Our expedition begins with a pleasant flight across inland New
South Wales and Queensland to the historic town of Longreach. Here
you are taken on a tour of the Stockman's Hall of Fame and the Qantas
Museum. A special treat is dinner on board the Paddle Steamer PS
Thompson Belle that plies the Thompson River. Longreach Motor Inn

Day 2 - Longreach - Mt Isa - Katherine
After a leisurely breakfast you board your aircraft for the short
flight to Mt Isa where you stop for lunch and a tour of the town
famous for its mining heritage. Mid afternoon continues across the
Barkly Tableland and on to Katherine where the remainder of the day

Day 3 - Katherine - Jabiru
This morning you join your tour guide for a cruise of Katherine
Gorge where you will experience the majesty and beauty of the
sheer red canyon walls contrasting the clear blue/green waters.
After lunch
you re join the aircraft for a scenic flight across Kakadu
National Park to Jabiru. The remainder of the afternoon is

Day 4 - Kakadu National Park -. Darwin
An early morning cruise of the Yellow Waters, followed by a visit
to Norlangie Rock and the famous rock art of the region. Late afternoon
we board the aircraft for the short flight into Darwin. Saville Park

Day 5 - Darwin
The morning is free for you to wander around Darwin, taking in
the sights and ambience of Australia's northern most capital. After
lunch you join your guide for a visit to the Territory Wildlife Park

Day 6 - Darwin -. Kununurra - Bungle Bungles - Broome
Today's flight takes you along the rugged coastline before landing
at Kununurra the regional centre for the Ord River Scheme. After
a tour of the area you re board the aircraft for the spectacular
scenic flight over the Bungle Bungles. From here it is on to Broome.

Day 7 - Broome
Your morning is free to explore the town or simply relax beside
the pool. After lunch you join your guide for a tour of the area
including a final stop at Gantheaume Point for the magnificent view
the sun setting over the Indian Ocean accompanied by a glass of champagne.

Day 8 - Broome - Yuendumu - Alice Springs
The journey today is across some of the most inhospitable country
of Australia the Tanami Desert. A refuelling stop is planned at the
aboriginal settlement of Yuendumu: it is here that the famous dot
paintings were developed. We have allocated time for a visit to the
settlement's gallery and, if desired, make a purchase of artwork
not normally available to ordinary tourists. Alice Springs Resort

Day 9 - Alice Springs
Today you enjoy a private tour of the town including the Royal
Flying Doctor Base, Old Telegraph Station and Guth Gallery, before
heading out to the East McDonnell Ranges with a BBQ lunch at Stanley

Day 10 - Alice Springs - Yulara
This morning you fly across to the world's largest monolith Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Upon arrival overhead your aircraft adopts a regulated flight path that allows you an aerial view of both the “Rock”
and also the Olgas. You then join your guide for a ground tour around Uluru and on to the Olgas and the Valley

Day 11 - Yulara - Coober Pedy
Mid morning, you rejoin the aircraft for the flight across the Great Victoria Desert to Coober Pedy. After lunch, the afternoon is spent touring including a visit to the famous underground Catholic Church. Desert Cave Hotel (BLD).
Day 12 - Coober Pedy - Broken Hill - Sydney
This morning, you fly across the Mungi Plains to Broken Hill for lunch at Silverton and a visit to the renowned “sculptures in the desert ”, before returning to Sydney at around 1730. (BL).
